Located 30 miles west of the Pendleton campus, BMCC Hermiston serves the Western region of the college district. A full range of college services is available including a comprehensive basic skills and extended learning program. Transfer degrees are offered with a combination of day and evening classes. BMCC Hermiston continues to offer access to postsecondary education and related student services, in partnership with Eastern Oregon University (EOU). BMCC has also partnered with WSU Tri-Cities to provide a direct student transfer program that will save students costs, increase pathways for STEM careers and help students graduate on-track and on-time with a bachelor’s degree.
Students who are residents of California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington are charged the in-state resident tuition rate.
Testing Information
BMCC Hermiston and the Eastern Oregon Higher Education Center testing facilities offer proctored testing for placement exams, BMCC academic testing, and testing for other colleges or universities for a small fee. Valid/current Photo ID is required at the time of your exam. Cell phones, backpacks/bags, laptops and all other electronic devices must be stored in a locker prior to your test. Partnerships
Precision Irrigated Agriculture Facility
The Precision Irrigated Agriculture Facility in Hermiston, Oregon is a new BMCC facility made possible by the 2015 Capital Construction Bond approved by voters. The new facility can be found on Oregon States University's Hermiston Agricultural Research and Extension Campus (HAREC).
There is a growing need to have an educated workforce able to optimize water resources to aid agriculture production. The new facility is designed to teach its students about agriculture technology for variable rate sprinklers, soil moisture monitors, and drones with the ability to survey fields. Local farmers have supported the facility by providing modern irrigation equipment for hands on learning. The programs taught at this facility will help students gain the skills necessary to remain competitive in a agriculture industry.
