PendletonAirshotBlue Mountain Community College’s main campus is located on a scenic 140-acre hilltop site that includes a 100-acre farm. The campus overlooks Pendleton, a city of 16,800 residents, located 210 miles east of Portland and nearly equidistant from Seattle, Spokane, and Boise.

 

Programs and classes include:

  • Career and Technical programs (Associate of Applied Science degrees and certificates)

  • Adult basic skills training, including college preparatory classes such as adult basic education (ABE), general educational development (GED) preparation and testing, and English as a second language (ESL)
  • Workforce development programs & customized training for business and industry

  • Community education/personal enrichment courses
  • Job Opportunities and Basic Skills for Oregon's Future (JOBS)
  • Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The Pendleton campus houses both cultural and recreational venues.

  • The Betty Feves Memorial Gallery, located in Pioneer Hall, exhibits a wide variety of art, and functions as an educational tool to encourage creativity and to foster an appreciation of the visual arts.
  • The Bob Clapp Theatre, also in Pioneer Hall, hosts a variety of activities including concerts, lectures, and workshops and is home to the College Community Theatre, which produces three plays a year.
  • The college hosts an Arts & Culture Festival in April, with a focus on diversity.
  • The McCrae Activity Center (MAC) houses handball and racquetball courts, a free-weight room, a total fitness room, and a gymnasium.

BMCC has a well-rounded athletic program for both men and women. The college fields intercollegiate teams in  baseball, basketball, rodeo, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Students have an opportunity to become involved in the Associated Student Government (ASG), work as a Student Ambassador, or join a variety of student clubs, all of which provide educational, recreational, social, and leadership opportunities for interested students.

Student support services include a TRIO program (for qualified students), disability services, food pantry (the Wolf Den), a full-service library, computer labs, tutoring, career research tools and resources, military and veteran resources, and faculty advisors.  About Pendleton, Oregon 

Pendleton is famous for their annual fall Roundup and the Pendleton Woolen Mills. Pendleton is the seat of Umatilla County in the northeast corner of Oregon. The city lies between the hills along the Umatilla River surrounded by many acres of ranching and farming. In 2021, Pendleton had a population of 16,841 residents.
